Jill’s Studio of Dance began in 1995. Since that time, our goal has been to give our students the best in dance education through our teaching, training, and love of the art. Through the results we have had at many dance competitions, performances, and the successes of individual students’, we feel that we are reaching our goal. We believe our record speaks for itself, and we are proud of our students’ accomplishments. We consistently win first-place awards and overall awards in competitions. Jill’s Studio of Dance was named “Top 50 Studios on the Move” by the Dance Spirit and Dance Teacher Magazine. The studio was featured in the 2006 Competition and Convention Yearbook and was listed in their 2007 Honor Roll.

Jill’s Studio of Dance has been a member of the Arts Council since 1998. We offer a complete curriculum in courses of ballet, pointe, jazz, and tap. We also offer a pre-school program and combination classes for younger students.

These classes prepare students to further their dance education through college and beyond. We have students who have danced and are currently dancing in companies and dance teams with the following schools and universities: Wake Forest University, Brigham Young University, Texas Christian University, University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, Birmingham Southern College, Auburn University, University of Alabama, University of Alabama Birmingham, University of North Alabama, University of South Alabama, and Alabama School of Fine Arts.  

Our staff consists of nine well-trained instructors. Students come to Jill’s Studio of Dance for a variety of reasons. Some want to become professional dancers, some wish to learn grace, poise, and confidence, while others come simply to dance for fun. We consider each of these students a blessing and because our staff possesses a love for children and youth, we are grateful and thankful for the opportunity to share our love and knowledge with these young dancers.
